Did you know that games sold in Brazil have 80% taxes?
Project jogojusto (meaning Fair Play), designed by Moacyr Alves Jr, seeks to reduce the tax burden on imported games sold in Brazil. The intention is to show, by means of a report based on information from developers and commercial tenants, that the national gaming market has huge potential. As a comparison, Mexico is used, because its gaming market increased 8 times after lowering the tax burden. Project jogojusto aims to reduce the price of games, the game consoles and their peripherals, thereby making the consumer's increasing contact with the games, a form of culture that is increasingly widespread in the world. As a consequence, the domestic market will develop, beyond the possibility of producing more settle in Brazil, resulting in a gradual, more jobs in the sector.
Project jogojusto was established within a community and independent political, business and generating profits.
Here at RLS we support jogojusto campaign and will work to spread the news about this initiative to help to develop the gaming industry in Brazil.
